SMA selects MPS, NTUC Income and JLT as “preferred partners” in medical indemnity
When considering medical indemnity, most doctors in Singapore usually begin by selecting the model that suits their practice best – I.e. Mutual, Insurance Company, or Insurance Broker. After that, many will approach the SMA asking for the recommended provider within each model. Based on many factors – the track record in medical practice indemnity, the willingness to listen to our suggestions, and to communicate transparently, the major features of their indemnity products etc – the SMA Council has selected MPS as the preferred Mutual, Income as the preferred Insurance Company, and JLT as the preferred Insurance Broker for providing medical practice indemnity to SMA Members. We are confident that the products and service provided by these will meet the needs of the vast majority of doctors practicing in Singapore

Singapore Medical Association (SMA) has been the representative voice of the medical profession in Singapore through our combined efforts since its establishment in 1959.

With strong support from more than 8,200 members, SMA has been able to participate in numerous closed-door consultations with various ministries and government organisations to raise concerns on your behalf for matters such as the National Health Electronic Records, the Healthcare Services Bill, telemedicine and the local residency training programme. Through our combined efforts, we will continue to work towards being a stronger representative voice of the medical profession in Singapore – for doctors, for patients.

If you are currently an SMA Member, we would like to thank you for your support because your subscription contributes to our representation of the profession as we continue to advocate for a better healthcare system for both doctors and patients. If you're not an SMA Member yet, please click here to join us today!
