This CME webinar will be held in October 2026 as part of Liver Cancer Awareness Month. The session will provide participants with an integrated, multidisciplinary update on screening, diagnosis, treatment and supportive care for hepatocellular carcinoma. Over a three-hour program, six expert speakers will deliver focused 20-minute presentations that will enhance clinical competence and support evidence-based practice across the liver cancer care continuum.
Participants will first be introduced to the anticipated global and regional burden of liver cancer, and will be guided through future-oriented risk-based screening strategies for HBV, HCV, cirrhosis and metabolic liver disease. The radiology segment will subsequently outline how ultrasound, CT, MRI and LI-RADS will be applied to improve diagnostic accuracy and staging.
The webinar will then progress to interventional oncology, where attendees will learn how ablation, TACE, TARE and downstaging options will be utilised in multidisciplinary pathways. Systemic therapy and immunotherapy updates will follow, highlighting emerging regimens, evolving indications and expected toxicity profiles. Surgical advances, including minimally invasive and robotic hepatectomy, will be explained with emphasis on patient selection and peri-operative safety.
The program will conclude with a session on nursing-led supportive care, survivorship planning and patient navigation, illustrating how coordinated care will optimise outcomes. This CME activity will enable healthcare professionals to strengthen knowledge, refine decision-making and apply updated best practices in liver cancer management.
