COVID-19 Resilience Certificate
SMA was awarded the COVID-19 Resilience Certificate from the Ministry of Health in February 2024.
The COVID-19 Resilience Medal and COVID-19 Resilience Certificate are national awards given in recognition of the substantive contributions of those who participated directly in Singapore's fight against COVID-19.
We wish to take this opportunity to once again thank all SMA Members for your contributions, small and big, during the pandemic.

SMJ appreciation dinner
An appreciation dinner was held on 29 January 2024 to thank the Singapore Medical Journal (SMJ) leadership, Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Prof Poh Kian Keong, EIC Designate Prof Ang Tiing Leong, and Deputy Editor A/Prof Mahesh Choolani, for volunteering their valuable time and energy to SMJ. Several SMA Council members attended the dinner as well, to learn more about the work involved and to deepen their relationships with fellow volunteers.
SMJ is one of several open-access peer-reviewed medical journals published in Singapore. Keeping SMJ open access is part of SMA's commitment to advancing medical practice and clinical research.
