After a three-year hiatus, the Inter-Professional Games (IPG) has made a successful return. The IPG was organised by SMA with support from the five esteemed professional bodies: the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES), Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), Law Society of Singapore (LSS), Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), and Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV). The renewed annual IPG brought together our organisations not as rivals but as a united community with a shared passion for sports.
From September to November 2023, participants engaged in numerous sports, showcasing remarkable athleticism and sportsmanship. In the games of bowling, chess and floorball, the SMA teams each secured an impressive second place, a testament to their dedication and hard work.
During the IPG Closing Dinner on 25 November 2023, Dr Chia Yih Woei, Chairperson of both the IPG Committee and the SMA Sports and Games Committee, took the stage to deliver the opening address and present awards to the winners. A big congratulations to ISCA for being the overall champion of IPG2023
Adj A/Prof Ng Chew Lip, SMA Honorary Treasurer, was invited to deliver the welcome address and oversee the presentation of the lucky draw at the dinner. He also took the opportunity to announce that the baton has been passed to IES as the next IPG host.
