Building a Multilingual Clinical Environment

In an effort to better serve the local community of the time, SMA News initiated a column to teach Mandarin in a medical context. It aimed to equip doctors and clinical staff with the appropriate vocabulary to communicate with Mandarin-speaking patients. The following excerpt on influenza was the first in the series, published in the July/August 1978 issue of SMA News, then known as SMA Newsletter.
