SMA partners SCS AI skills pathway launch

The Singapore Computer Society (SCS) has launched the Skills Pathway for Artificial Intelligence (AI), a new initiative to help professionals build AI capabilities relevant to their fields. SMA is proud to be one of the programme's partnering professional bodies, alongside the Institution of Engineers, Singapore and the Singapore Logistics Association.

The pathway offers two tracks: an AI Bilingual pathway for practitioners who wish to develop AI literacy, applied AI skills and governance awareness, and an AI Technical Specialist pathway for those pursuing in-demand technical AI roles.

SMA President Dr Daniel Lee Hsien Chieh noted that AI technology has enormous potential to improve healthcare, but successful adoption depends on clinicians understanding how to apply these technologies responsibly, ethically and in ways that strengthen patient care. Through this collaboration, SMA can help guide the development of AI capabilities so that it reflects both technological advances and the professional standards expected of medical practitioners.

Members interested in building their AI skills can find out more at: https://skillspathway.scs.org.sg/ai.
